Opportunity
We are looking for a talented Financial Accountant to join our team in Oudewater. This role offers a wide range of responsibilities, including managing and improving financial performance and direct accounting operations of our organization. You will also deliver necessary information for tax reviews and accounting controls.
Main ResponsibilitiesMain Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable/Payable (A/R, A/P), General Ledger (GL), Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition across 3 legal entities.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly financial results in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
- Lead the preparation, review, and publication of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Implement and maintain robust quality control over financial transactions and reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop, document, and continuously improve business processes to enhance internal controls and compliance.
- Manage banking relationships and coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders on all bank-related matters.
- Coordinate and facilitate external audits, ensuring timely submission of deliverables to audit teams.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of relevant statistical reports (eg, CBS).
- Perform additional controller duties as needed, providing financial insights and support to the organization.
- Manage and oversee payment processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
The ideal candidateThe Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Proven working experience as a (Financial) Controller
- Is results-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills
- Is decisive and able to effectively analyze problems
- Is adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Has a proactive approach and is capable of managing multiple tasks
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Good knowledge of English and Dutch
